India news: Maharastra's Gadchiroli suffers a Naxal attack 15 jawans martyred... Modi responds

Several areas of Indian states like Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Maharastra, Odisha and West Bengal are still prone to Naxals.

Naxals are a kind of terrorists who live in India and time to time harm the country internally in several ways.

And in the recent fresh wounds to the country are made by them in the Gadchiroli district of Maharastra. 

They condemned a bomb blast with IED [Improvised Explosive Device] which blew up the police vehicle in which 15 jawans and a driver were riding.

In the blast, all the 16 security personnel were martyred as well as the police vehicle was completely destroyed.

The jawans were from the C-60 commando group who were deployed in patrolling the area due to the general election period. C-60 commando is an anti-Naxal unit.

They were going from the Kurkheda-Korchi road and around 12:30 pm the blast happened.

The timing of the blast also has something hidden in it. It happened on the first anniversary of the encounter of a total 40 Naxals in two encounters by the security forces.

Various political figures reacted by strongly regretting the event. Narendra Modi [Indian PM], Davendra Fadnavis [Maharastra CM], Rajnath Singh [Home Minister], etc expressed their reactions on Twitter.

Post the attack, strong action against the attackers is also promised by the people in power who are also sighting that the culprits would not be spared.
