India, the largest democracy has seen several Prime Ministers since it's independence in 1947, witnessed several Lok Sabha Elections and the several types of mandates.

And as per the latest turnout in elections, the voting percentage was at its highest number among all the general elections in India. And this time the Modi government has got a nod for the second term.

The work of Modi's first tenure was sufficient to regain his party a comfortable majority and this time with far more seats than the previous elections.

The numbers clearly depict that the "Modi Sarkar" was up to the mark and has fulfilled their promises as well as met the expectations of people.

And in fact, these 2019 general elections have gained the largest ever mandate to Narendra Modi since Indira Gandi's comeback and also made him the leader holding the largest mandate in the world presently.

This has definitely picturised him again the most popular leader in India and the voters have found no alternative of him for the chair of Prime Minister for now.

India along with the world was mesmerised to see Modi taking the oath again on 30th May. But there were several goosebumps too on that day.

The most exciting topic on that day was the names shortlisted as the cabinet ministers. The pair of Modi-Shah carefully chosen them on the grounds of their previous performances as well as other capabilities.

Before the ceremony, a thing was confirmed that Arun Jaitley & Sushma Swaraj were not in the list and this created a massive pit in two most important ministries namely Finance & External affairs.

So it might have been very difficult to find someone eligible for the post but Modi did it and left us awestruck on 30th May.

On that day India was just astonished to see Amit Shah sitting in the front row of the minister designates. We also saw a totally new intro of a guy in the political world named S Jayshankar.

Indians Googled him and came to know that he is a retired diplomat and ex-foreign secretary of India. He's the man behind the negotiations with the US for India's civilian nuclear agreement.

He has been the ambassador of India in several countries like USA, China & Czech Republic and also the high commissioner of India in Singapore.

He proved himself several times which gained him the post of India's foreign secretary before his retirement. But post-retirement too Modi marked history by appointing an ex-government officer as a minister.

Before Jayshankar, Dr Manmohan Singh made a direct entry as a finance minister in the PV Narasimha Rao's cabinet.

And the second surprise was to see the political superstar, Amit Shah taking oath for the post of the Home Minister of India.

We Indians found someone of national interest after the PM on the chair of the home minister after Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, LK Advani, etc.

and as everyone having political interests believes that Amit Shah would definitely meet all the aspirations as a Home Minister due to his hard image and working style.

And also the two successful ministers in the previous government namely Nirmala Sitaraman & Rajnath Singh got new portfolios of the Finance & Defence ministry respectively.

This has entirely changed the picture of the Cabinet Committee on Security [CCS] which includes Home, Defence, Foreign & Finance ministries, by changing the portfolios of two as well as introducing two new faces the:

  • Home ministry: Amit Shah [from Rajnath Singh]
  • Finance ministry: Nirmala Sitaraman [from Arun Jaitely]
  • Foreign ministry: S Jayshankar [from Sushma Swaraj]
  • Defence ministry: Rajnath Singh [from Nirmala Sitaraman]

But with the massive mandate, that is with the great achievement comes the great responsibilities. There are several problems and opportunities waiting for the new government to look upon.

The economic problems including the GDP, unemployment rates, reforms in economics, etc will be the major challenges for Nirmala Sitaraman. The burning topics like the Kashmir issue, infiltration problems, Naxalites, etc are the biggest challenges for Amit Shah.

Modernisation of security forces, National Security, manufacturing of weapons within the country, etc are some the works upon which Rajnath Singh and Defence ministry have to draw their focus upon.

And the last but not at all the least, the foreign tensions with Pakistan & China, India's foreign economic relations, abling India to hold it's own within the USA-Iran cold war, etc are some of the biggest problems waiting for the master S Jayshankar.
