Shiva statue: The valleys of Nathdwara to be shortly echoed by "HAR HAR MAHADEV" as world's largest "Shiva pratima" is on the verge of completion...

Rajasthan, the land of colours, the land of warriors, will soon house the world's tallest "Pratima" [statue in english] of Hindu Lord Shiva.

The mammoth statue is been constructed on a hill in Nathdwara known as Ganesh Tekri and will have a height of 351 feet and will become the fourth tallest statue in the entire world.

The statue's construction started in 2012 after the foundation stone was laid by spiritual leader Morari Bapu and Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot.

The Statue is been built by "Mirage group". Reportedly in making the marvel 3,000 tonnes of steel is used and the statue will weight 30,000 in total!!! It also needs a workforce of 750 workers.

The statue and the entire campus is planned and designed by an architectural firm Placekinesis Associates, Ahmedabad and contracted to Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Pvt. Ltd.

As per the reports, almost the entire construction work of the statue is almost completed and is expected to be inaugurated soon.

The pose in which Lord Shiva is sitting has also uniqueness. Here he is in a decent and calm avatar rather than his furious side we all know. There's also a Trishul being erected with the main statue.

In the statue too, the tourists can reach up to 280 feet through 4 elevators and 3 stairs. The statue campus will also include a "Pratima" of Nandi, a fountain, an amphitheatre, parking, a food court, gardens, an amusement park and handicraft shops.
