NEET [National Eligibility and Entrance test] is held once every year as an entrance test for the students aiming to admit in Medical and dental colleges for graduate & postgraduate courses like MBBS, MD, MS, BDS & MDS.
The NEET candidates are working really hard for two years to crack the entrance test and get into some of the prestigious Medical & Dental colleges of the country.
So their hard work should be equally valued as the candidates of other competitive exams do and should be given equal opportunity to prove themselves.
It was very unfortunate and regretful that the states on the coast of the Bay of Bengal had to face the curse of the super cyclone Fani and coincidently just before the NEET exam.
The cyclone caused horrific damages to the infrastructure of the affected states and took the lives of nine until now.

Some of the affected areas are left with the scarcity of basic amenities like electricity, food, etc and it will be very hard for the affected NEET candidates to cope up with the conditions.
So the NSUI [National Students Union of India] has written to the President, Prime Minister and the Union HRD Ministry highlighting the above issues and requesting their attention.

However, the cyclone Fani was one of the most strong cyclones Orissa has ever seen in the last two decades.
